My Cinderella story.
When I was in high school there was a guy I was completely in love with. We hung out all the time, and he would come over my house a lot to make out with me, but he never wanted to date me. Christmas dance came around and he asked someone else. I was crushed. I was planning on staying home, but my God mother and mom found out about the Xmas dance , and how the boy who comes over a lot didn't even ask me, and they said ," oh hell no. My mom put me in a small black dress... I think it was a slip lol. It came up mid thigh, and she gave me black heels. They teased my short pixie hair and put black eyeshadow and dark red lipstick on me.. I straight up looked like Marla off Fight Club. They took me to the dance, and I was so out of place. All the girls had on beautiful formal sparkley dresses, and here I come walking in wearing all black and looking wild.
His jaw dropped when he saw me...a lot of people's did. I had a blast though. I remember a few dance circles formed around me because people wanted to watch me dance and I left the dance knowing he was drooling and there was nothing he could do about it. I didn't leave with my "prince" but I left with my pride.
